Services

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Contrary to popular belief, not all wisdom teeth need to be removed. We take digital x-rays to check on the health and development of wisdom teeth before even considering extraction. In fact, some people keep their wisdom teeth their entire lives without any issues. They even use their wisdom teeth to help them chew food. But when there are cavities present, infection, gum inflammation, misalignment, or impaction that results in pain or infection, it may be best to have your wisdom teeth removed.

Tooth Extraction

A tooth extraction will put an end to tooth pain. Under the best circumstances, getting a tooth pulled can be a painless procedure. Contrary to popular belief, dentists do not actually “pull teeth.” The tooth is gently nudged with pressure, the ligaments holding the tooth in place give up, and the tooth comes out. Most people have minimal discomfort following the procedure. Every person is unique and will respond differently to a tooth extraction. Since the bone supporting upper molars is soft, there’s generally minimal discomfort associated with an upper molar removal. The bone supporting lower wisdom teeth and molars is very solid and dense and it is common for people to experience some pain and discomfort for several days following lower wisdom teeth removal. Appropriate pain medications will be prescribed to alleviate some of the discomfort when you have a tooth pulled.

Root Canals

Dr. Glen Eisen huth is a Board Certified Endodontist who uses advanced technology to provide root canal procedures for our patients. He and our general providers use magnification to provide enhanced vision allowing for more precision during procedures which improves patients long-term outcomes. A root canal procedure requires one or more appointments and can be performed by a dentist or endodontist (a root canal specialist). After treatment, your tooth may still be sensitive, but this will subside as the inflammation diminishes and the tooth has healed. You will be given care instructions after each appointment. Good oral hygiene practices and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your teeth after root canal treatment.

Children’s Dentistry

The TMC Dental Department offers comprehensive children's dental services. Our Board certified Pediatric Dentists have many years of experience working with children. They take children’s dental care seriously, but also make it a fun experience for your children. By creating a positive first impression with dentistry for your child, we can set up a healthy foundation for their precious smile.

We offer all types of children's dentistry including:
  • Your child’s first dental visit.
  • Hygiene instruction for parents and kids.
  • Dental exams and cleanings.
  • Sealants and fluoride treatments.
  • Fillings and crowns.

"Same day" Dental Emergency call-ins begin at 7:00 am, Monday - Friday. PLEASE NOTE: The above policies do not apply to “Same day” Dental Emergency appointments. Dental emergency patients will be treated on a space available basis.

Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to provide informed consent before any dental treatment will be rendered. Other persons (including older brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc) are only considered to be the guardian of the minor when they have presented legal documents to that effect which are filed in the patient’s medical record by patient registration staff.

For safety reasons, children may not accompany a patient into the clinic for the purpose of "babysitting" during the treatment of the patient. Dental staff are not permitted to provide child care. If the patient is not able to leave the child(ren) in the waiting room (where they must be supervised by an adult, other than a member of the dental staff), then the appointment will be cancelled and the patient will be requested to make other arrangements for the children before the appointment will be rescheduled.
