Services

  • Wisdom Teeth Removal

Contrary to popular belief, not all wisdom teeth need to be removed. We take digital x-rays to check on the health and development of wisdom teeth before even considering extraction. In fact, some people keep their wisdom teeth their entire lives without any issues. They even use their wisdom teeth to help them chew food. But when there are cavities present, infection, gum inflammation, misalignment, or impaction that results in pain or infection, it may be best to have your wisdom teeth removed.

  • Tooth Extraction

A tooth extraction will put an end to tooth pain. Under the best circumstances, getting a tooth pulled can be a painless procedure. Contrary to popular belief, dentists do not actually “pull teeth.” The tooth is gently nudged with pressure, the ligaments holding the tooth in place give up, and the tooth comes out. Most people have minimal discomfort following the procedure. Every person is unique and will respond differently to a tooth extraction. Since the bone supporting upper molars is soft, there’s generally minimal discomfort associated with an upper molar removal. The bone supporting lower wisdom teeth and molars is very solid and dense and it is common for people to experience some pain and discomfort for several days following lower wisdom teeth removal. Appropriate pain medications will be prescribed to alleviate some of the discomfort when you have a tooth pulled.

  • Root Canals

Dr. Glen Eisenhuth is a Board Certified Endodontist who uses advanced technology to provide root canal procedures for our patients. He and our general providers use magnification to provide enhanced vision allowing for more precision during procedures which improves patients long-term outcomes. A root canal procedure requires one or more appointments and can be performed by a dentist or endodontist (a root canal specialist). After treatment, your tooth may still be sensitive, but this will subside as the inflammation diminishes and the tooth has healed. You will be given care instructions after each appointment. Good oral hygiene practices and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your teeth after root canal treatment.

Policies

    Dental Examination

There are two ways to obtain a comprehensive dental treatment exam:

WALK-IN: A limited number of complete dental treatment examinations are done on a walk-in basis every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for Federal Holidays or mandatory hospital trainings. Please use the dental reception timeclock to stamp a slip starting at 6:30 AM(slips stamped earlier than 6:30 AM are not accepted). When the dental reception window opens at 7:00AM, dental examination will be done rapidly for the number of patients described below:

    • The number of examinations made will be equal to the number of general dentists scheduled in the clinic

that morning. Although this number does vary based on daily staffing, the typical number of exams given out is four. Up to two persons from one household may be examined on the same day. At the end of your complete dental examination, you will be given an appointment to return for the recommended dental treatment.

    • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian with VALID Guardianship

      papers.

    • Exam check in cut off time is 7:15AM. Exams are limited to the number of providers available that day.

Telephone (928)729-8885 or (928)729-8911: A limited number of complete dental examination appointments can be made over the phone at 8:30AM every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for Federal Holidays. If you call before 8:30AM, you will be asked to call back at 8:30AM. The appointments will be made for 3:30PM approximately one month later as follows:

    • The number of exam appointments made will be equal to the number of general dentists scheduled in the

clinic that afternoon. Although this number does vary based on daily staffing, the typical number of exams given out is four. Up to two persons from one household may be examined on the same day. At the end of your complete dental examination, you will be given an appointment to return for your recommended dental treatment.

    • As of November 16th 2015, only patients that live in Tsehootsooi Medical Center Communities of

Residence can obtain prothodontic services: crowns, bridges, nightguards, partials, and dentures.

PLEASE NOTE: The above policies do not apply to “Walk-In” Dental Emergency treatment. Dental walk-in emergency patients will be treated on a space available basis if they arrive between.

    7:00am – 11:00am and 12:30pm – 2:00pm | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to provide informed consent before any dental treatment will be rendered. Other persons (including older brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc) are only considered to be the guardian of the minor when they have presented legal documents to that effect which are filed in the patient’s medical record by patient registration staff.

For safety reasons, children may not accompany a patient into the clinic for the purpose of "babysitting" during the treatment of the patient. Dental staff are not permitted to provide child care. If the patient is not able to leave the child(ren) in the waiting room (where they must be supervised by an adult, other than a member of the dental staff), then the appointment will be cancelled and the patient will be requested to make other arrangements for the children before the appointment will be rescheduled.
